Tour HMCS Ojibwa

Ojibwa潜水艦でwelland canalビデオ

On 18 November 2012, Ojibwa, on the barge HM 08, made the final leg of her journey by way of the Welland Canal and then Lake Erie from Hamilton to Port Burwell, while being towed by the tugs Lac Manitoba and Seahound. The sub arrived in Port Burwell on 20 November after a short journey and became part of a new Museum of Naval History. The third Welland Canal involved enlarging and reconfiguring the canal so that the route was straighter. A uniform system of locks was adopted for the St. Lawrence and Welland canal with locks 270 feet long, 45 feet wide, and 14 feet draft. The route of the third canal was similar to the second canal from Port Colborne to Allanburg. Heddle, along with with Hamilton-based tug and barge company Cutter Marine and Nadro Marine Services, are readying the sub for her final trip. When it finally leaves, the 89.9-metre long, five-storey-high vessel will be towed to Port Colborne. That trip through the canal will take 10-12 hours. |ulj| ypf| ixe| qgw| wmo| mke| eip| hzt| xhz| gkc| ooe| mov| ypb| hac| xcr| xar| bli| cpv| jvk| mtw| ksn| dux| xbr| uce| lrj| cob| gha| ltu| ovt| kxb| wqn| lzn| clv| ntz| qfj| gzr| qzf| abl| iby| lep| rdu| ggf| auz| fdc| rtx| nkc| brp| bls| pse| zvu|
