It peels immediately. My other top coats make my polish last like 5+ days. Just have to be patient because they do NOT dry quickly, lol. Seche Vite has to be applied thickly to wet polish. If you apply it to dry polish it will peel off. I started using seche Vite gel effect and it works a lot better. After two days, the nail polish seems to separate from my nail (peel off), which is possibly from chewing them or putting too much on, but might also be from the actual nail polish and it is something I dislike. Seche Vite vs. Quimica Alemana: To get extremely hard/strong nails, Quimica is the way to go. I stopped using seche vite top coat for this very reason. I never tried the base coat, but even with a meticulous manicure and maintenance, the whole thing would just peel off on day 2 or 3. It was infuriating.
