The Montreal Chapter of Dysautonomia is a Canadian fund raising origanisation that supports research into and treatment of Familial Dysautonomia. Familial Dysautonomia, more simply known as FD, is a genetic disorder that affects the nervous system. Originally considered a childhood disease, current treatment has extended and improved the lives Dysautonomias are a heterogenous group of disorders that can cause variable symptoms ranging from isolated impairment of one autonomic function to multisystem failure.
