The Sookie Stackhouse saga started in 2001 with the first novel, Dead Until Dark, and consists of a total of 13 books (and several short stories). Except for a few rare exceptions, mostly in the last book, the Sookie Stackhouse novels stick entirely with Sookie Stackhouse's point of view. That means that anything the reader knows, Sookie has to either experience or hear someone else's telling.
