Lactalis Canada Inc., formerly Parmalat Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Lactalis Group, has closed the acquisition of all shares of Agropur Cooperative's Canadian yogurt business, Ultima Foods Inc. Under the terms of the agreement announced in December 2020, the acquisition includes the IÖGO and IÖGO nanö yogurt brands as well as the Olympic Appleton, WI. Our US headquarters is based out of our Appleton, WI, office and is home to about 70 employees. While this location does not produce any product, our modern office area is bustling with employees from all areas of the business. Appleton is a vibrant community of 74,000, nestled along the Fox River and Lake Winnebago. Privately-owned Lactalis will inherit around 450 new workers from the deal, taking the subsidiary's workforce in Canada to around 3,500.
