Averau really raised the standard of rifugio dining by a few notches. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite the sheer number of day trippers that they have to serve everyday. The room was amazing. We were lucky to have private room with attached bath, which was as good if not better than some hotels in town. We were very happy with our Rifugio Averau is a gem among mountain huts. Tucked under the rocky spears of Averau peak (2,649m / 8,691'), it is known for its beautiful vistas and excellent kitchen.
