Plug these power feeds into standard outlets to convert a milling machine from manual feed to motorized power. Speed is variable so you can make adjustments for material, cutter, and coolant. Install on the X (left/right) or the Y (in/out) motion axis. Feed fits below the table surface for unobstructed workpiece mounting, and a limit switch prevents damage caused by over-travel. The variable AC voltage goes to a bridge rectifier and then a 1500 microfarad capacitor and panel DC voltmeter. A capacitor this size yields an RC time constant of about 1/60th of a second at 8 amps output, which largely deripples the 120 Hertz rectified AC.
