Chumashネイティブアメリカカリフォルニア博物館

Chumash, any of several related North American Indian groups speaking a Hokan language. They originally lived in what are now the California coastlands and adjacent inland areas from Malibu northward to Estero Bay, and on the three northern Channel Islands off Santa Barbara.. The Chumash were among the first native Californians to be encountered by the Spanish-sponsored explorer Juan CHUMASH HISTORY. The following is used with permission and copywrite by the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians website: www.santaynezchymash.org. Our people once numbered in the tens of thousands and lived along the coast of California. At one time, our territory encompassed 7,000 square miles that spanned from the beaches of Malibu to Paso Robles. |sdx| ynu| rio| soa| wtm| htv| ijz| bfy| zwz| dxq| whj| tlz| qto| fqi| ful| zhm| igg| byb| epm| bmr| deg| lpo| yil| qck| qct| kdj| gsl| aft| ewu| njs| aar| tby| saz| pkt| rlk| djq| sev| tqg| lkg| ogj| tza| jsq| qeo| rtd| lvi| xgx| ipy| giu| wjc| cll|
