The Chairman of the Northern States Governors' Forum (NGF) and Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of the first civilian governor of Yobe State, Bukar The Vice-Chancellor said the late elder statesman played a crucial role in promoting peace, development and education in Yobe State and Nigeria at large revealing that he was the founder of the University; describing the death as a colossal loss to the good people of Yobe State and the county in general. Prof. Daura said the former Governor was Senator Abba died in Saudi Arabia and was buried in the Holy Land. In a condolence message signed by the Forum's Chairman, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, the Senators described Senator Abba's death as an immense loss to the nation.
