Pastalaya with Bruce Mitchell | Blackstone Griddle

英語でカニヤpastalaya

Cut the smoked sausages into big chunks or slices. Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick pot and add the sausages. Sauté them until golden brown. Add the frozen veggies and garlic to the pot and cook for 5 more minutes. Add the diced tomatoes, creole seasoning, spices, salt, and pepper and mix. Add the smoked sausage and cook, occasionally stirring, until browned around the edges, about 3 minutes. Scoop the sausage out with a slotted spoon and move it to a bowl. Add the chicken thigh pieces and sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of cajun seasoning. Cook without stirring until browned on the bottom, about 3 minutes. Pastalaya is essentially jambalaya with a pasta twist. The dish usually consists of a protein like Andouille sausage and/or chicken, combined with the "Holy Trinity" of onion, bell pepper, and celery. Additional seasonings like garlic, thyme, and Cajun or Creole seasoning are used for flavor.
