The Ping Shan heritage trail in the New Territories links a cluster of buildings, many of which date from well before Hong Kong became a colony. The attractions range in age from 140 to 700 years and several are Declared Monuments of Hong Kong. Of the heritage attractions you can visit along the Ping Shan trail, the Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery at the old Ping Shan Police Station (stop 1), Yu Kiu Ancestral Hall (stop 6) and Tang Ancestral Hall (stop 7) are most impressive and interesting. The Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery cum Heritage Trail Visitors Centre is situated on the hilltop in Hang Tau Tsuen overlooking the villages in Ping Shan. It is the only colonial building along the Trail.
