Welcome to the new Buffalo Broadcasters (formally the Buffalo Broadcast Pioneers) Website. Our new logo reflects our desire to include all broadcasters, both current and pioneer broadcasters, to be members of our organization. Our goal is to make our site a one-stop place for information on everything from the rich history of Buffalo The Buffalo Broadcast Pioneers was founded in 1995, and we still have a lot of catching up to do. The Golden Age Award is reserved for the pioneers in the truest sense of the word: Those who did it first, the people who had no pattern to follow, no lead blocker. These folks blazed the trail, and set an example for future generations to follow. In 1977, her family donated roughly 1,400 of her works to the municipality of Kópavogur so that a museum bearing her name would be opened. The museum opened in 1994.
