Oxford has strong links with Japan. The Bodleian received its first Japanese book in 1629, and the first Japanese student, Tomotsune Iwakura, came to the University in 1873. The EZProxy server providing access to the electronic documentation resources purchased by ULB is therefore configured to meet the demands of publishers, in accordance with the terms of the access licences.
