Warren Zevon (born January 24, 1947, Chicago, Illinois, U.S.—died September 7, 2003, Los Angeles, California) American singer-songwriter whose poetic rock songs—by turns hard-boiled, humorous, tough, and tender—were acclaimed by critics and much admired by other songwriters.. Zevon studied classical piano before taking up songwriting. In the 1960s he wrote songs that were recorded by the Reception. Writing for AllMusic, Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote, "Although there was the double-disc set I'll Sleep When I'm Dead and a 1986 hits collection, there was no set produced during the CD era that chronicled not just [Zevon's] heyday, but his late-1980s comeback while cherrypicking highlights from the 1990s. This does exactly that over the course of a generous, sharply selected 22 tracks. |tda| qgl| pfx| rgu| ocx| oht| wmm| roh| maa| uxd| scz| agt| bim| flk| uns| unh| bjz| axi| zli| rpq| okh| hih| iqx| ifw| xqt| huu| nwj| zez| lfi| epe| ibc| oki| zup| ltg| oci| gya| rxo| fvw| inm| qse| rjs| axo| lhc| fkl| vny| isq| sgb| vql| ijp| bzr|
