The Newington-Cropsey Foundation oversees the home and paintings of Jasper F. Cropsey (1823-1900), the prominent Hudson River School artist. The Cropsey home and studio, Ever Rest, is on the National Register of Historic Homes. Along with the Gallery of Art, the foundation is able to display a large part of the permanent collection of Cropsey's RiverArts is kicking off its Chamber Music Series next Sunday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. with its annual benefit concert at the Newington-Cropsey Foundation in Hastings.
