Just returned from cleethorpes and I must say it is a nice seaside town. Very quiet. The beach is sand so the kids can make sandcastles. Plenty of places to eat. The train station is more or less on the beach very close. Just be-aware that some of the amusement arcades tend to rip you off. If you love fish and chips then cleethorpes is the place.
