Chloroplasts - Structure

Chlorophytaの有機体のPyrenoids

Gigantea-type pyrenoids are characterized by short-branched tubules perforating the pyrenoid matrix, with tubules as thick as the matrix (Figs. 1 i,j,m,n,q,r; 2 a,b,e,f,i,j, m,n; Table 2). We observed pyrenoglobules always present in variable numbers inside the pyrenoid matrix or at the margins of the pyrenoid. One class of the Chlorophyta, the Charaphycean green algae, undergoes cytokinesis, like plants, through the creation of a cell plate mediated by a phragmoplast.
