Mercedes Jones is a major character on Glee. Mercedes was the first student to audition for New Directions. At the beginning of the series, she develops a close friendship with Kurt Hummel and a strong rivalry with Rachel Berry. At the end of Season Three, she reveals that she accepted a recording contract at an indie label and moves to Los Angeles where she attends classes at UCLA. She Mercedes's crush on Kurt is never mentioned again throughout the series. It was mentioned in 4x06. The Warblers. It was also mentioned in season 2 when they're discussing making relationships up in their heads and she said "I've been there, with you.".
