Cycling round Leicester I found Braunstone Park nestled in the large council estate. It's quite big, visually nice in places but I did notice things like bollards around the edge, and there were some kids on little motorbikes messing around on one part of the park. Most people were just enjoying an evening walk. It felt safe enough cycling across. Braunstone Park is situated on the A47, Hinckley Road, access to Winstanley House is vai the main drive from Hinckley Road. A car park for park users is available on Cort Crescent. The park is approximately 3 miles from the city centre and close to the M1 and M69 junction. The best way to reach the park is on foot, by bus or Braunstone Park is a huge park, lovely for walking in. There are many different areas to enjoy. I often walk down the avenue from the Hinckley Road towards the old hall. This part is mainly open, with plenty of horse chestnut trees.
