Synopsis. Frank Ripploh is a rascal: he is a shaggy-haired, bearded teacher who is gay and has a very active sex life plus an interest in making films. He keeps his personal life separate from his Ripploh films this carnal urge with a sense of humor — when Frank finally comes across a leather-chapped stud he deems worthy, the butch guy, while they're deep in a kiss, walks away after Taxi zum Klo. Upon its initial release in 1981, writer-director Frank Ripploh's semi-autobiographical film—the title can be translated as "Taxi to the Toilet"—caused quite a stir due to its explicit sexuality.
