Chelonoidis becki is endemic to Wolf Volcano on Isabela Island and occurs on the northern, western, and southwestern slopes of the volcano (Fig. 20.1).An estimated 77 km 2 of habitat suitable for tortoises, heavily fragmented by lava flows, occurs on the volcano (Chapter 14: Habitats); 38% of this area is currently occupied by tortoises.
