When Forbes magazine ranked Hudson-based Micronetics as No. 55 on its Oct. 28 list of "200 Best Small Companies," it was a "bittersweet moment," says David Robbins, Micronetics' chief executive officer. Bittersweet because the Forbes recognition came but weeks after Richard Kalin, the previous CEO and president, was killed in an automobile accident. "Richard Kalin really would have Micronetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: NOIZ) announced today that it has signed a definitive merger agreement with Mercury Computer Systems, Inc.
