JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — PACCAR will create 100 jobs in Columbus. The company is expanding its existing manufacturing facility by 50,000 square feet in order to add remanufacturing operations, according to the Mississippi Development Authority. The expansion will also help the company meet future emissions requirements for diesel engines. Paccar builds engines for its Kenworth and Peterbilt brands in Columbus, Mississippi. It announced a $209 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion there in October to add engine remanufacturing. The "PACCAR has produced more than 300,000 PACCAR MX Engines in its world-class engine factory in Columbus, Mississippi since 2010," PACCAR Engine Company Plant Manager Todd Wells said.
