RESUMEN. Se estudió el ciclo gametogénico de forma cualitativa y cuantitativa en poblaciones naturales de Perumytilus purpuratus provenientes de las localidades de Taltal y Huasco, Chile, durante el período entre octubre de 2007 y octubre de 2008. A través del análisis histológico se construyó una tabla de madurez gonadal de acuerdo a las características microscópicas.
