Meat and food processing company JBS Australia has reopened its processing facility in Cobram, Victoria to meet the growing demand for lamb, goat and mutton proteins. The plant - which was last operational in 2017 - can now process up to 4000 head of livestock per day and will employ 150 employees As part of the Great Southern and JBS Australia businesses the upgraded Cobram facility now operates five days a week with capacity to process up to 4,000 heads per day. The investment also focused on new technology to deliver against a range of sustainability targets including CO 2 reduction, water and energy conservation and people safety. Cobram abattoir reopens.
