Berkeley County has launched a lawsuit against its former supervisor and CFO. The lawsuit claims Bill Peagler and Tim Callanan used public funds in an illegal and bad faith scheme right before Callanan, who allegedly left the victim's body in a plastic container, was arrested on Sept. 12, 2020, after a high-speed chase in Georgia and has been charged with first-degree murder.
