Applying to UT Austin IS a crapshoot. Especially for CS and OOS. The acceptance rate for non autos is ~13% while only about ~15% of CS applicants gain admission. For OOS, it's around 6% I heard. UT's CS department is TOP 10 in the entire nation. For context, Harvard is #16 while UT is #10. For artificial intelligence, it was ranked as #5.
