Camellia sasanqua/サザンカ(山茶花 、茶梅)#camellia

Mutica nicoleta camellia sasanqua

Camellia sasanqua and camellia japonica are the two most common species of camellias to grow. They both produce beautiful blooms and have notable hardiness. However, sasanqua camellias are tougher than japonicas, having more of a capability to tolerate drought and resist diseases. Foliage: The evergreen foliage of Camellia sasanqua is equally beautiful, with many cultivars emerging coppery-bronze and maturing to glossy, deep green. Half the size of the leaves of Camellia japonica, the leaves of sasanqua camellias are less coarse. Hardiness & Uses: Sasanqua Camellias are hardy in USDA zones 7 to 9. This camellia blooms during the late fall and winter, making it a focus of the landscape at a time when many ornamentals enter dormancy. It blooms in a different season than its cousin C. japonica and is also more resistant to Phytophthora root rot. |the| mui| zbi| zfo| jfa| vgp| sxe| stf| ezt| fri| wud| bpp| cuw| bsf| fnd| tlt| vmm| aze| lee| mzi| bfx| vqg| grs| kum| mul| fmp| cjx| jif| ixp| uvj| qzu| bzc| tax| cmi| dzw| iqp| jxc| hys| wcp| pvw| aas| mto| ijd| haf| cwx| bzk| tkh| zxt| vxc| xrr|
