Philharmonisches Ensemble Wien was formed at the instigation of the Vienna Philharmonic violinist Shkëlzen Doli. It includes two other Philharmonic players, the violinist Holger Groh and the cellist Sebastian Bru, together with the internationally acclaimed concert pianist Gottlieb Wallisch. The musicians play a selection of works, ranging Shkëlzen Doli (born August the 9th, 1971 in Elbasan, Albania, and grew up in Gjakova, Kosovo) is an Albanian violinist. In 1992 he began his music studies at University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna taking lessons from Dora Schwarzberg, Michael Frischenschlager and Josef Hell. A short time later, he became a substitute for the Shkelzen Doli, who left Kosovo at a young age, became a member of one of the oldest and most prestigious philharmonics in the world, The Vienna Philharmonic.
