The Hon Mitch Fifield. The Honourable Mitch Fifield is a former Australian Senator and Cabinet Minister. Mitch was sworn in as Senator for Victoria in the Australian Parliament on 1 April 2004 and re-elected at the 2007, 2013 and 2016 elections. Mitch retired from the Australian Senate on 16 August 2019. During his fifteen years in the Senate Mr Chair, I have the honour of delivering this statement on behalf of Canada, Iceland, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland and my own country Australia.
