Loren Toscher. Loren has been with Occhiali since 2004 and began managing our downtown location in 2009. Loren grew up in Goleta and graduated from Dos Pueblos High, has a film degree from San Francisco State, and studied Speech and Hearing at Portland State. Loren returned to Santa Barbara to be part of the Occhiali family. Occhiali (Montecito) opened in January 1988 by Salli and Irwin Eve. They both attended and met at UCSB. They later studied opthalmic science at a program on the east coast. They returned to Santa Barbara to open their first eyewear boutique 26 years ago. Five years later, they opened their second shop in the downtown area, on 7 W. Canon Perdido.
