The A. G. Leventis Professorship of Greek Culture is the first chair in Classics to have been endowed at Cambridge since World War II. It will focus on the study of more than 1,000 years of Greek Established in 1979 as a result of provisions made by Anastasios G. Leventis, the Foundation aims to support educational, cultural, artistic and Anastasios Paul Leventis CBE, OFR. Anastasios Paul Leventis was born in Ghana on 19th May 1941. He was educated in England and in France. After completing his education, he joined the Leventis Group in Nigeria, where he became involved in all aspects of its business operations and served as a Director of Leventis Group International and Background. I am a Director of Leventis Group International Companies, which have investments worldwide and the Chairman of the A G Leventis Foundation.
