Mt tamカリフォルニアハイキング

Follow Hogback Road to Matt Davis, Nora, Railroad Grade Fire Rd, and Plank Walk Trail to the summit of Mount Tamalpais. Mount Tam is the most notable summit in Marin County, and the Gardner Lookout Tower marks the top. The first half of the hike is more shaded, the second half is much sunnier and exposed. Mount Tamalpais, rising 2,571 feet above the San Francisco Bay, is the highest point in Marin. Commonly referred to by locals as "Mount Tam," the mountain has three peaks: East, West, and Middle. Although East Peak may be the most popular place to summit as it is the tallest point, most of the hikes in this area, including the Dipsea Trail With its golden grasslands, iconic oak woodlands, stands of redwood forest, chaparral, and views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Mount Tamalpais State Park captures the heart of Marin County. While fog is a defining aspect of the ecosystem, on clearer days hikers can see the Farallon Islands, the San Francisco bay, the cities of the East Bay, and even as far as Mount Diablo.
