Former Indian president Pranab Mukherjee has died at the age of 84, according to a tweet from his son. "With a heavy heart, this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just Pranab Mukherjee, India's former President and one of the most revered politicians of the country breathed his last on Monday, August 31, after several days of illness. "Pranab da" as people across and outside political circle would fondly call him, had been in coma since a brain surgery earlier this month.Pranab Mukherjee was hospitalised for the past 21 days and turned critical following a brain surgery. The veteran leader was admitted to the hospital at 12.07 pm on August 10. Mukherjee was President of India from 2012 to 2017.
