A longtime member of the Colorado political community is President Joe Biden's nominee to be the next U.S. attorney for the state. Biden announced the nominee, Cole Finegan, on Tuesday as part of a slate of nine federal prosecutor nominees. Finegan is the managing partner at the Denver office of law firm Hogan Lovells. Cole Finegan is the United States Attorney for the District of Colorado. He also worked to open internal police records and study different community policing models in Denver. Prior to this, Mr. Finegan served as Chief Legal Counsel in the Office of the Governor for the State of Colorado. He also supervised a policy development staff of The U.S. Senate on Friday confirmed Cole Finegan without objection to be the top federal prosecutor in Colorado. Finegan is a former Denver City Attorney and chief of staff to former Mayor John Hickenlooper.
