We investigated factors related to the absence of any HIV testing in men and women separately, using the data from the SIRS cohort, which includes 3023 households representative of the Paris metropolitan area in 2005. The National Council for Scientific Research (CNRS-L) is the only public institution that both supports and conducts research; as such it is the central institution for science policy formulation and execution. Additionally it is a funding agency supporting academic institutions in the country parallel to its role in capacity building.
