Crock Pot Beer Brats

In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup barbecue sauce, ¼ cup Dijon mustard, and 1 teaspoon hot sauce. Mix well. Add onions to slow cooker. Pour barbecue sauce mixture over onions and mix well. Grill 12 Brats about 3 minutes on each side to crisp the outer skin. Add Brats to Crockpot. Pour 2 beer over onions and brats. Remove from the skillet. Add the sauerkraut, potatoes, and onions to the slow cooker. Add the bay leaves, garlic, mustard seed, and caraway. Nestle the bratwurst into the sauerkraut, then cover Brown brats and place in slow cooker. Top brats with onion slices, garlic, salt, pepper and butter.
