Mount Yamnuska is a near-weekly visit for rescue crews assisting hikers who have been injured or who have gone off-trail and wandered onto dangerous ledges. Fatalities have also occurred on this mountain. If venturing to the top of the scramble route, remember there are over 150 climbing routes up the face. Then, you will hike while hugging the base of the mountain over to the beginning of the hard part of Yamnuska. Views are stunning and if you just want a two-hour round trip view of fall colours this is a wonderful choice.
