EDMONTON, Alberta - Capital Power Corporation (TSX: CPX) ("Capital Power" or "the Company") announced today that it has been selected as a successful proponent in the Ontario Independent Electric System Operator (IESO) Expedited Long-Term RFP. The two successful submissions include Capital Power's York Battery Energy Storage System project (114 megawatt ("MW") contracted The IESO is seeking to competitively procure approximately 3,700 MW of year-round electricity reliability services from New Build Electricity resources through the LT1 RFP, measured on an effective capacity basis.
