Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women. It was founded at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia on May 15, 1851. The Beta Sigma chapter at Mercer University was founded on November 13, 1937. In 2022, the Beta Sigma chapter was awarded with the Golden Lion. Southeast Missouri State University's Delta Nu chapter was founded on May 16, 1959. We celebrate 65 years of sisterhood in 2024. Delta Nu has been recognized three times by our Executive Office with the coveted Golden Lion.
