The Los Angeles Education Corps (LAEC) is a 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization established in 2008. We educate, train. and support young people, ages 14-24, who are looking for a second chance to earn their high school diploma and the opportunity to earn a vocational training certificate. LAEC is the charter management organization overseeing. Build. YouthBuild (funded by US Department of Labor) provides hands-on, construction-related or other vocational training, educational services, case management, counseling, service to the community, and leadership-development opportunities, to low-income young people ages 16 to 24 who did not complete high school. YouthBuild YouthBuild (funded Over 50 young leaders from YouthBuild programs across the country and 19 YouthBuild alumni members came together at the 35th Annual YouthBuild USA AmeriCorps Conference of Young Leaders (CoYL) in Washington, D.C., during the week of October 23rd.
