Anderson Strathern was founded in 1992, following the merger of two Edinburgh firms, J&F Anderson and Strathern & Blair, both having been in practice for over 200 years. Anderson Strathern was joined in July 2011 by the partners and staff of property practice Bell & Scott. Anderson Strathern attributes the growth in part to productivity gains through "smarter working". Anderson Strathern has increased turnover for the year to 31st August 2017 by 2.5 per cent to £21.5 million, boosted by major client wins, panel appointments and organic growth across its private client, commercial and public sector practice groups..
