BOSTON (AP) — James "Whitey" Bulger, the feared Boston mob boss who became one of the nation's most-wanted fugitives, was convicted Monday in a string of 11 killings and dozens of other gangland crimes, many of them committed while he was said to be an FBI informant. Bulger, 83, stood silently and Bulger, and associates under his direction, used violence, threats, and intimidation to carry out these illegal activities. In late 1994, upon learning of his impending indictment, Bulger fled Massachusetts. On June 22, 2011, Bulger and his companion, Catherine Greig, were arrested in Santa Monica, California after 16 years on the run. Most films focusing on criminal trials aim at revealing the accused's guilt or innocence. In Joe Berlinger's "Whitey: United States of America V. James J.
