Phylogenetic analysis was then constructed with 7 typical species, and the closest CO1 sequence was from the scorpion M. martensii with an identity of 98.16% followed by Buthus occitanus and Mesobuthus gibbosus with identities of 85.52% and 85.36%, respectively (Fig. 2 B). All these top three matched species were from Buthus.
