Ian Robins Dury (12 May 1942 - 27 March 2000) was an English singer, songwriter and actor who rose to fame in the late 1970s, during the punk and new wave era of rock music. He was the lead singer and lyricist of Ian Dury and the Blockheads and previously Kilburn and the High Roads. TOPPOP: Ian Dury & The Blockheads - Sex & Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll. One of Ian's signature songs, 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll' also gave its name to the must-see 2010 biopic about Ian starring Andy Serkis at the very top of his game. The song itself was a punk era solo single for Ian on Stiff released in the summer of '77, though it was written Joey Logano was impressive in Stage 1 at the Tricky Triangle, taking over the lead from pole-sitter William Byron on Lap 11 and never relinquishing it through the end of the stage.
