Perisher is the country's largest ski resort and the southern hemisphere's largest as well. Spread across seven different mountain peaks, the resort is divided into four distinct areas and boasts 47 lifts. With so much to explore, it may take a week or even a season to fully experience everything Perisher has to offer. Most people skiing at Perisher stay at Jindabyne, which has a wide range of accommodation, or Crackenback, which has limited, mostly high-end accommodation but is close to the Skitube terminus. -36.4037 148.4109. 1 Perisher Valley Hotel, 13 Burramys Rd, ☏ +61 2 6459 4455.
