Most of the species growing in Thailand produce edible shoots, the best one are Dendrocalamus asper, Dendrocalamus giganteus, Dendrocalamus merrillianus, Bambusa tulda, Pseudoxytenanthera albociliata and Thyrsostachys siamensis.
