João da Gama Filgueiras Lima (1932-2014), registered at the Brazilian Regional Council of Engineering, Architecture and Agronomy (CREA)1 under the number 8608-D 5th Region, was a Rio de Janeiro National Faculty of Architecture graduate, class of 1955. João da Gama Filgueiras Lima (Lelé) is known for his expressionist exposed concrete buildings in Brazil. Oscar Niemeyer and Nauro Esteves highly appreciated him and therefore brought him to Brasilia immediately after graduating from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Lelé was particularly interested in the rationalisation of the construction process.
