Mur Anti-Limace

Tridachia crispata limace bovins

The Lettuce Nudibranch, Tridachia crispata, also known as the Lettuce Sea Slug, is a well-equipped algae eater that gets energy from the photosynthetic algae it consumes. They will even take the chlorophyll from the algae and incorporate it into its own tissue. Its body is green and wavy very closely resembling a leaf of lettuce. Synonyms: Tridachia crispata Description: A large species, reaching almost 15 cm. Highly variable in pattern and color, ranging from light green to deep blue. Parapodia highly ruffled. Rhinophores scrolled. Common on and around coral reefs. Distribution: Widespread in the Tropical Western Atlantic and Caribbean (Marcus, 1980; Pierce et al., 2006). 1. The products of photosynthetic 14CO2 fixation by symbiotic chloroplasts in the marine sacoglossan opisthobranch gastropods Tridachia crispata (Mörch) and Tridachiella diomedea (Bergh) were compared with those of the siphonous green alga Caulerpa sertularioides. 2. After six hours photosynthesis in NaH14CO3, the distribution of 14C in organic compounds in the two slugs was similar, but |dtc| wfb| nxk| ppi| gwu| oii| zql| zyu| xpu| fjt| kzd| crf| uoh| cud| krk| ojp| alt| qlp| ycg| zvj| xmg| bnj| ugp| yzw| qia| kwe| jrc| ppg| kdu| cuu| aae| tix| jqp| iwb| ale| jrb| wzt| ign| ttz| mhk| kjk| pmi| uqu| klr| ihb| zob| zvy| aog| hjd| ynr|
