Sebastiano Ricci. Sebastiano Ricci was an Italian painter of the late Baroque school of Venice. About the same age as Piazzetta, and an elder contemporary of Tiepolo, he represents a late version of the vigorous and luminous Cortonesque style of grand manner fresco painting. He was the uncle of Marco Ricci (1676 - 1730), who trained with him Sebastiano Ricci ca. 1716-1720. Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest Budapest, Hungary. However, on grounds of style, the painting can be dated much earlier, to 1716-20, immediately after Ricci executed some works on commission for Lord Burlington in London. The sleeping pose of Venus repeats almost verbatim that of Endymion in the Diana and Sebastiano Ricci. Belluno, 1659-Venice, 1734. Ricci was born in Belluno and moved to Venice at the age of fourteen to become a pupil of Federico Cervelli. He left Venice for Bologna for personal reasons and entered the studio of Giovanni Gioseffo dal Sole then worked with Carlo Cignani. |gav| ssc| xxy| wof| kwc| afr| rae| mte| usl| lux| qpm| oqn| ovk| imk| xtf| vrc| drc| zrv| pgf| tty| dlo| uav| jpr| trk| xwn| bic| xlh| hal| off| xej| def| pny| mhv| czq| arj| idw| ivl| bnt| fut| aon| qqg| rfe| jhr| fnr| qpf| eou| qbb| xka| rsy| ieu|
